Scouts are a valued part of the Pacific Marine Mammal center’s community. Examples of their good will and generosity can be found throughout the center. Girls can earn two council badges via participating in an educational program at the center. Cub scouts and boy scouts are also welcome!

Registration Information

GROUP SIZE: Minimum 6 attendees. Maximum 22 attendees.
SCHEDULING: Reservations are taken during the school  year, Monday-Sunday between 10am—4:30pm. During times of high demand, smaller troops may be combined.

Daisy Journey Program

This program is designed to support the Daisy Journey's 5 Flowers, 4 Stories and 3 Cheers for Animals! It is an ideal opportunity for Daisies to learn more about the needs of our marine mammal patients, fulfilling the goals of Session 5: Out and About with Animals. Additionally, the girls will hear the real life story of Tim Tam, a sea lion harmed by pollution and earn their 'Rose' badge** with a craft that helps spread the word about keeping the oceans clean.

Brownies WOW! The Wonders Of Marine Mammals!

Inspire your Brownies for their SAVE project. In this one hour program, girls will have a chance to see marine mammals that are being rehabilitated due to illness or injury. Their plight will drive home the need to be ocean advocates. They will practice their team work and imaginations creating a pollution buster creature and discover how one person's actions can create lasting change.

LENGTH: 1 Hour
COST: $25 Registration Fee. $8/girlscout & $5/chaperone & siblings. Leader plus 1 Co-Leader: Free

Juniors Getting Wild About Energy Program

Girls will have the opportunity to observe wild seals and sea lions that are recovering at our rescue facility .They will investigate how animals use energy according to their needs and consider what humans might learn from them. They will learn about how marine trash affects these animals and participate in a shopping exercise to help assess how excessive packaging adds to this problem.  Finally they will design a reusable shopping bag with an environmental message that helps them to reflect and  share all that they have learned.

COST: $25 Registration Fee. $12 per participant/$5 per chaperone and siblings. Leader plus 1 Co-Leader: Free

Cub & Boy Scouts

Help your cub and boy scouts continue learning positive habits and attitudes about our oceans. Boys will have a chance to see our current recovering patients and discover how human actions are affecting ocean life. Call the center to discuss programs that best fits your scouts’ age 949-494-3050.
